ABOUT THE EXHIBITION

UKUS MUKUS delves into daily routines and narratives of life in Kathmandu, and attempts to express them through a collection of drawings, prints, photographs and multimedia artworks that carry multiple layers of meanings and perceptions.
UKUS MUKUS is a Nepali expression used to describe something suffocating, discomforting or even claustrophobic. The artworks in the exhibition therefore, respond to the physical and emotional uneasiness that the city evokes in the artist.
